Thank you, NAHL teams!

Hockey is a very passionate sport. Both the fans and the players have a drive and an intensity that not all other sports have. However, they are also genuine. The NAHL is a wonderful example of this. The teams in the NAHL strive to help out in their community. They make appearances in parades and things of that nature, but they also genuinely work to better the community and in some cases the impact they can have on the lives of those they help is far greater than one might think. All 24 teams have gone into the community and helped in some way.

They have:
-collected food for the food pantry
-collected toys for less fortunate kids at Christmas
-gone to schools to read and eat lunch with students
-helped to run after school programs for kids
-taught kids how to play hockey
-given blood
-planted trees
-helped serve at soup kitchens
-raised money for cancer/veterans/men's health/and many other causes
-helped paint houses and playgrounds
-made visits to patients in the hospital
-tutored kids
-and so much more....

This holiday season we want to send a huge thank you to all of the teams in the NAHL for everything they have done for their communities. They have done some great things and they should receive recognition for it. Even simply doing the smallest of things can have a big impact on someone. So, thank you, NAHL! Keep it up!
